This evening we arrived at our abode just as the darkness was settling into the hills. As we pulled into the driveway (which was very well marked) we realized that this place was going to be very nice. We entered the apartment, which is above a six car garage, and found a really nice apartment waiting for us. We unloaded our things and then picked which rooms we wanted out of the three bedrooms. We realized that we were hungry even though we burned through all of our snacks on the way. It was about 9:00 so I took some of the canned foods that were left over from last semester (thanks Nick) and heated up some clam chowder on the stove. After taking a little bit more time to look around we discovered the apartment has air conditioning, full bath, wireless internet, and cable TV. After driving all day I was tired and headed to the bed of my choosing. Thankfully this rotation does not start as early, so tomorrow we will be heading in to town for a 9 AM start. It was about an two hours before either of us realized that we had crossed a time zone making us an hour behind everyone at home. It was a good day and I am glad to be here. We thank you all for your prayers!
Daily Reflections: Today we are thankful that the bicycle did not fall off the roof and in to traffic. We are thankful that my Subaru held together in one piece. We are thankful the car has functioning windows. We are thankful for an opportunity to serve Christ in this rotation.
