Sunday afternoon we were not sure what to do so we made a spur of the moment decision to go fishing. Lack of planning became an issue in this excursion and made itself known by the end of the trip. We ended up trying to fish in the lake which unbeknownst to us was mostly still frozen over. When we finally found a thawed area there was plenty of snags to go around. The closest we came to a fish was a northern pike that Josh missed right at the shore. Josh was so dedicated to retrieve snagged lures that he waded into the frigid waters (picture posted with his permission). On the way out the car blew a radiator fan fuse and overheated. We were glad to make it home fish or no fish.
